First PSP Go hack Exploit found already 2 days after release.

PSP Go exploit found 2 days into release.

PSP Go exploit found 2 days into release.

This didn’t take long now did it? FreePlay has found a working Save data exploit on the PSP Go. What it allowed FreePlay to do was execute a “hello world” type text file and also dumb his PSP Go memory and flash0 files to a Memory Stick. Pretty impressive find only after the system has been out for 2 days.

Its a user kernel exploit and at this stage were unsure if it will lead to anything substantial.

Video of the exploit is here embedded below.

Just in case anyone doubted that the exploit was real… here’s a Hello World running on a PSP Go. It will work on any firmware and any PSP hardware version. No, you can’t have it :D

Yeah, Maybe later when the PSP go is more common, when it will be too late for sony to fix it, it may be released.

How will the exploit be released without being spotted by Sony? Anyone that hacks the Go will surely be sued like those guys who hacked the 3000.

If you follow such activities you will know like the original PSP it is only a matter of time, yes SONY will be aware but not a lot they can do. They will upgrade the firmware continually to stop it only to have it re-cracked again shortly after. Those responsible use anonymous names etc to keep from getting caught. In reality I truly believe those who use Custom firmwares etc are in such a small minority (small compared to overall sales) really SONY has better things to do. Modchips, custom firmwares, hacks, etc will ALWAYS be a part of consoles and handhelds and really only adds to hardware sales whether SONY likes to admit it or not. Hell I would not be surprised if SONY were secretly behind such activities and the whole trying to fight it were just attempts to bring more attention to their products lol!

…Just go away. Read a book or something. RESEARCH. EXPERIMENT. LEARN.

Don’t expect people to just hand out answers for you. You are lazy and refuse to do the research on your own. As a hacker myself, I would never help someone unless they genuinely tried to learn it for themselves first. Most of us believe in the “we help those who help themselves” mantra. How do you think WE learned?

      Learn through DOING.
      Learn through RESEARCH.
      Learn through EXPERIMENTATION.

After you have done all you can do, then – and only then – should you ask for help.

You will be a better person for this. And you may even be able to help others like yourself too. Wouldn’t that feel nice? To say “Look! I did it all by myself!” Wouldn’t you feel proud?

That is what is wrong with society today. They expect everything to be hand-fed to them, like babies. What ever happened to human pride? What ever happened to self-satisfaction?

All people care about now is instant gratification.
Well let me tell you “gotime”, there is more to life than the destination.

      Re: Yo Yo Yo
Since Freeplay seemed to be able to exploit this on the latest firmware (6.1 i think?), i would think its safe to update and get those free games. I know i did, but ended up regretting it until i realised the exploit occured on the latest firmware. Well, Im not going to update anymore until this exploit becomes a viable hack :p

      kudos Freeplay

sorry, another thing i forgot to mention.
If you are in the North American region, i probably wouldnt recommend updating since there isnt a rewards scheme or free GT5 game or rather. Best to leave the PSPGo in the original firmware otherwise.

        Happy gaming

yeah i know what you mean yo yo yo. You feel like a proud parent when you have you’re holding your very own PSPGo. You kind of forgive the little guy for its shortcomings. Hope you got your 4 free games with it. In Australia I got mine for $400 but now that it includes free 4 games and the Media Go software, im guessing the PSPGo console itself is probably imo about $150 cheaper than the retail price. So for all those that think the price tag is too high, just consider that as well before bashing into it. I also do acknowledge the fact that the PSP-3000 bundles are still going to be overall cheaper so if you aren’t enticed by the new aesthetics and extra “technology” then go for the PSP-3000.

heh wow u guys dont no the game still. The game is Killzone Liberation for PSP GO.I no this because i am really rich and bought all the psp games and tried them aout and found a simple glitch in killzone. So take that Freeplay even though it was worth spending over hundreds of dollars it was still fun to mess with freeplay, so ya u must buy the full version of Killzone Liberation and on the title screen u must press the psp button 3 times and then the square button once.

ps i am selling used M1 psp memory cards $8.99 bidding.
