PSP Go will it be hacked?
PSP Go will it be Hacked? That’s the big million dollar question. If we look at the past PSP’s it didn’t take long at all before they were hacked. Even the non hackable PSP-3000 was eventually broken and hacked. Custom Firmware Enabler, chickHEN or an Exploit like the recent Metal of Honor: Heroes 5.55 firmware exploit is the only way of breaking the PSP Go.
Since the PSP Go has no removable battery, using a Pandora battery wouldn’t be possible. Besides they haven’t worked since the PSP-2000 TA-088v3 motherboard revision where Sony put and end to Pandora batteries.
One the PSP Go is released, would be hackers will start to search for any possible expolits and way to get chickHEN to load. (ChickHEN loads a type of Custom Firmware environment where you can load homebrew games and apps)
There is hope…and we will keep you posted if the PSP GO gets hacked.

First exploit working on the PSPGo.
From Freeplay we have this video (watch it by reading more), in where he has updated an exploit for working on the PSPGo models.
Even though the name of the game neither sound is shared, you can bet that this is real, an old exploit that has been modified in order for working on this models… and also on all firmwares and models. However, it looks to be just user-mode.
Looks like there are many other exploits that might still work, but if Sony made the right decitions on the 6.00+ upgrades, most probably a kernel jump won’t be available. At least considering what we know atm.

is it best to keep the firmware they same as it is when the psp go was bought or upgrade get the free games and wait for the hack. i just want to use it and not have to wait. I don’t mind waiting if it could be regretted later though. can anyone help?

Why don’t you try to set up a European PSN account and then try the free game upgrade from that account?? Might work. If you can download different regional games with different regional accounts, I don’t see why you can’t do the same with the psp go. Only problem is when you register your psp, just try it with a UK account, it might work. Don’t take my word for it though! Just try!

I’m getting a Psp go! Tomorrow, having previously owned a variety of psps, most hacked. I believe the Psp go will be hacked, probably by da or fanjita. They normally give us a nice Xmas present
perhaps this yr it will be will be a proper hack for the go allowing unadulterated piracy! And the fact that there is no umd drive therefore iso cso won’t work, that’s irelavant
just look at installous for the iPhone , basically a complete AppStore . For free!
I hope something similar will be developed for the Psp go!

Hi! I have set up a U.S and Singapore account as I didn’t find my country in there (Philippines)…so basically my problem is I have downloads from both accounts but I can’t play all the games without signing in to the other account and activating game on it..any chance that I can make games work for any account? Sorry for bad english…

Ehh, you could still have ISO loaders I’m pretty sure in the same way you played ISOs for the PSX games. I don’t think the UMD drive has to do with that part of CFW since I’m sure the loader could perhaps make the go believe that it is a digital copy just as easily

PSP Go has bluetooth and Save state feature, and it feels good in your pocket compared to a PSP-3000

karol: i suggest you buy psp 300 at least, but it would be better for you to buy psp 2000… psp2000 has already been hacked so that you can play ISO games downloaded in the form of torrent. however, if you are rich and can download games in the psp network, then, might as well buy psp go.. 1 game will cost you for about $5 to $10.. XD

Maybe this is a little late of a response but I could not help but to point this out. A citizen will not be arrested for downloading torrents. If you are uploading torrents however that is a completely different matter. The sites, such as pirate bay, which support such torrenting are very private about their users that enter their website everyday. Because they do not operate under the US such information, such as IP’s, cannot be demanded by the US and therefor the people downloading such torrents cannot be found. Yes, if you were to openly show your self downloading torrents action could be taken but the police and justice department have bigger things to deal with than the millions of people downloading illegal software every second. If you are an idiot and wave it around you might get caught, otherwise the chances are slim to none.

A PSP game from PSN costs about $20+ which is quite cheap. And are you saying that a game worth $10 (or 470 pesos) like FF8 is so expensive, only rich people could get them? LOL

I had the same problem… I got my PSP Go as a present, and when they got it they downloaded a couple games for me. As I already had a PS account for my PS3 I changed all the details on the brand new PSP Go and all games were blocked!
For that, I’ve sent an email to PSN asking if there’s any way to transfer games for other users to play as well as the money in the wallet. It’s been more than a month since I asked and they never answeredback…
What I am doing is if I ever want to play to those initial games I set the PSP to the account they initially created, and when I’m done I go back to mine.
Hope that helps and if you have some time mail PSN so they get as many people talking about this as we can!

On the same matter… PSN customer service never replied to my question so I decided to experiment:
By setting the PSP Go to default setting it is possible to rewrite a username and PSN ID, so I went back to the previously created account and I am able to play the games loaded before the PSP got to my hands. The only drawback is that I have to do every single time I want to play one of those 2 games or the ones I downloaded…
Takes time but works, but I don’t know if that solution will suit you all, as I don’t think previous owners will give you their passwords to do that every time :S

Hey, guyz. I know how to hack Psp Go !!!!!! But it only works if u have old haked psp or u use friends psp! Do u know the program Media Go. You can download her from the playstation’s site if u don’t have it . Just transfer games that u downloaded to the old psp to the Media Go and then transfer them to the Psp Go. I think it should work . I hope it does i still dont have Psp Go.

The psp 3000 does not read iso.that why you have to add custom firmware to downgrade to the old version that read iso,the game format was change,. If It can not read iso,the psp must read a diffrent formate that no hacker has yet to find try to find.
Because all games have to be downlaoded by the internet,on the ps go,the game are already in the correct formate and can be given away free without custom firmware .no need downgrade unless you wanto play games using the old psp formate.,
sony has a fiie convertor that coverts iso to correct format.
but hacker do not know that. If hacker knew this softwrae you could covert iso games into the correct format without downgrading,

PSP Go-same format has PSP-3000
