PSP Go to get a UMD drive add-on ???
Now this just sounds ridiculous and it is a rumor. But here it is, logitech are apparently working on a UMD drive add-on for the PSP Go.. First I just have to comment.. BAH hahaha. If this is true, a PSP GO + UMD drive add-on will end up costing much more than a PSP-3000.. So what is the point? If you want a PSP with a UMD drive why would you buy a PSP Go then a add-on bulky logitech drive…
Here’s the sources comment on this:
source (singular) claims that Logitech is developing a UMD drive add-on for the PSP Go. The source has neither price nor release information, merely stating that the “only problem is that it’ll make the PSP a little bulky.” Logitech’s UK office told the outlet that it’s unaware of such a device and that it “may be something the US office is working on.” We’ve contacted both Sony and Logitech for more concrete information.

May be u feel sorry, but not me. I’m happy that i bought my psp go becouse when i was purchasing this, i knew what i was doing… Psp go is designed for people who need very portable device, that can take where ever they want, even in pocket of jeans (like me). I dont need UMDs becouse i can download games from PSS. In fackt some of games i cant finde in PS store but i’m sure for 100% that in near future psp go will run ISO’s, then i could download any games from rapidsher, that i can’t find in PSS. Resume: psp go DONT sux becouse it is very smal end light and has 16 GB of memory and M2 card slot. Sorry for my bad english, but i’m from Poland and i’m still learning this language.

not a bad idea, but i think that’s called PIRATING;and if i’m correct, that is exactly what sony is trying to avoid.besides, when sony,or Any manufacturer creates a newer version of a system, they ALWAYS try to eliminate the old versions and everything else related to it.(accessories, etc.)
for instance, the DS Lite was the predecessor of the fat and bulky DS after only 4 months.

Yes making a UMD addon for a system that was designed for digital downloads and shit is stupid. But think of the possibilities.
Remember the PSP Go 6.10 running HEN? What did you need? A copy of digital Mercury. But they patched that in 6.20.
But with a UMD slot OFW 6.10 and a UMD copy of Mercury, we will have our homebrew capable PSP Go.
Yes I know… just buy a 3000… it’s cheaper. But this how a PSP Go can run hombrew.

I think its a great idea BECAUSE there are plenty of titles that aren’t on the PS Netword yet and if you could buy this add on you will be able to play your favorite games (more than likely at home). Now I’,m sure this would be a at home only kind of produce that people don’t use while running around. I would only buy this if it were cheap like 20 bucks or less.

the only thing they need to add is a second analog stick..been hating the pspgo since day 1…no but instead they make it thinner and add a slider?
